ReelReads

Paste a book-recommendation reel. Get the list, with links to buy.

Use ReelReads from Instagram's Share button

Skip the copying and pasting: send reels straight to ReelReads from Instagram.

On Android
  1. Open kno-good.com/reelreads in Chrome (other browsers only make a shortcut).
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu and choose Install (or Install app). Don't use "Add to Home screen" or "Create shortcut": those don't show up in the Share menu.
  3. Wait a minute until Chrome says ReelReads is installed. To check, long-press the ReelReads icon: you should see App info.
  4. Close Instagram completely and reopen it.
  5. On a reel, tap Share, then Share to... (or More), and pick ReelReads. The book list opens.
On iPhone

The quick way:

  1. Open kno-good.com/reelreads in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  2. In Instagram, tap Share on a reel, then Copy link.
  3. Open ReelReads from your Home Screen, paste the link and tap Find books.

Or add ReelReads to the Share menu with Apple's Shortcuts app (one-time setup):

  1. Open Shortcuts, tap +, and name the shortcut ReelReads.
  2. Tap the ⓘ (details) button and turn on Show in Share Sheet.
  3. Add the action URL Encode and set its input to Shortcut Input.
  4. Add the action URL with this address, then put the URL Encoded Text variable right after text=:
    https://kno-good.com/reelreads/?text=
  5. Add the action Open URLs, and tap Done.
  6. In Instagram, tap Share on a reel, then Share to..., and pick ReelReads.
